There's the courthouse sitting smack dab on US Hway 31 running through the center of Thorsby. IS 65 runs near the edge of town.

The town was established at the beginning of the 20th century by Scandinavian immigrants and named for one of them. Soon afterward there was a hotel, a sawmill and lumber company, and two wineries which prospered from the grapes produced in large numbers in the fertile soil which was abundant in the area. Many of the descendants of the original Scandinavian settlers still remain in the town. This beginning is celebrated every with the Annual Swedish Fest. The festival includes an arts and crafts fair, a pageant, music, a fun run, car and motorcycle shows and plenty of good scandinavian food.
