IS 65 makes its way through Pelham with US 31 paralleling it to its West.

Oak Mountain State Park, the state's largest state park is located in Pelham. This park of almost 10,000 acres has vacation cottages, golf and a pro shop. Residents and visitors alike can enjoy the camping, picnicking, swimming, boating, fishing, hiking and mountain bike trail facilities located here. There's also a demonstration farm and horseback riding facilities. The Pelham Civic Complex has two NHL-sized ice. Besides hockey practice and games the arena holds Open to the Public skating sessions. In addition to Youth and Adult hockey; the University of Alabama hols some of its matches here.
