ABOUT THE AREA
Ridgefield is home to about 11,400 residents and is unofficially divided into 3 regions - Ridgefield, Morsemere and Ridgefield Heights. Morsemere is named after Mr. Morse, the inventor of 'Morse Code'. He lived and owned vast stretches of land here. Ridgefield is perhaps most well-known for the 'Others group of artists'. Others was a group of artists founded just after WWI in a place called Grantwood, just outside of Ridgefield.
