There are no major roads in Irondale; but the city streets provide plenty of room for traffic violaters and IS 20 passes along the Southern edge of the city and US 78 on the Eastern border.

In the Summer; this town, like many others in Alabama, has its Free Movie Nights in the Park Fridays at Beacon Park. Here though, there are giveaways to the first 100 people. You will have to bring your own chairs and blankets. Everything can't be free, there is always a vendor around with food for sale. ponsors of the Annual Irondale Whistle Stop Festival, held in September, are returning fine art to the festival. Each year of this festival has a different theme; 2010's festival celebrated Irondale’s history with historic costumes and demonstrations.
