Not much in the way of major roads here, but some good streets, Montevallo road and Euclid avenue, which provide access to the US highways.

No shortage of golf courses for the residents of Mountain Brook. There are two big ones nearby, the Country Club of Birmingham (on the edge of Mountain Brook) and the Mountain Brook club. The city is fairly new as cities go . It was incoporated in the early 1940's but was the first city in Alabama to operate under the Council-Manager form of government where the Mayor serves as the policy head of the City and the City Council serves as the Legislative Body. The city's Jemison park is a great place for bird watching and you can find out what birds to look for by getting the Bird list for this park at the Park department.
