US 11, called Main street in Trussville, runs through the Southern part of the city and crosses the other main street in town, Chalkville road. IS 59 is located just to the West of town; providing a link with all of Alabama.

The city is graced by the beautiful Cahaba River which makes its lazy way throughout the city. This is the same Canaba river which years before was the site of Native American villages whose inhabitants fished the river and hunted in its surroundings. This city benefited from the WPA projects of the 1930's when the Cahaba Village historic district was laid out. Part of the historical district is Trussville's Mall which lies in the center of the district and whose design resembles the Mall in Washington, D.C. Trussville's Sports Complex, which covers over 120 acres has been the site of many tournaments in softball, soccer, baseball and football.
