The Maui District Court and Maui Circuit Court are both housed in the Maui Courthouse. Quite a bit of activity going on in here.
ABOUT THE AREA
The Maui Courthouse in Wailuku is situated at the intersection of Route 32 and Route 30 (aka South High Street), and a stone's throw from Wells Park. But please don't throw anything. They don't find that amusing at all. Not much further is Maui Community College, surely a source of alcohol-related offenses that end up here. And then there's Kahului Bay, a lovely spot. Plenty of golf around, plus gardens and some luscious forests.
TYPE OF CASES
Maui Circuit Court handles felonies and misdemeanor trials. Maui District Court handles traffic and misdemeanors (before trial).
