The combined SR 22/SR 77 touches the Southern border of Wadley.

Stuck in the Northwest corner of Wadley, you will find Southern Union State Community college. The college offers courses in Business, Child Development, Computer Science, Fine Arts, Language Arts, Mathematics, Office Management, Science, and Social Science leading to the Associate in Science and Associate in Applied Science degrees. The school fields teams in Baseball, Men's & Women's Basketball, Cross Country, Softball and Volleyball. The town has a number of restored beautiful old homes; but a site needed to complete the picture of a renovated downtown district is the restoration of the Wadley Train depot. This building once served as a depot on CSX's Lineville Subdivision of the Alabama Terminal Railroad.
