US 43 traverses the lenght of Thomasville and meets SR 154 in the center of town.

Thomasville has a new Civic Center with a gallery and a five hundred seat auditorium. The Thomasville Theatre team presents several plays a year at the Bedsole Theater in this venue. The city is also undergoing a downtown revitalization. Each year Thomasville plays host to a National Supplier Conference. The Hobson State Technical College of Alabama Southern Community College is located in Thomasville. The school offers degree programs in high technology and emergency medical services as well as certificate programs to prepare students for careers in area industries including welding, construction electricity, cosmetology and truck driver training. The Alabama Center for Excellence in Forestry, Paper and Chemical Technology lab provides real hands-on experience with the high technology for prospective and current employees of area industries.
