There is only one major road running through Altoona; SR 132 which is also the town's Main street.
ABOUT THE AREA
Located about 7 miles from Altoona Horse Pens 40 characterized by a ring of rocks, known as “pens,” which early settlers used to corral their horses. There is also a museum here with Native American and Civil War exhibits. The park's six miles of hiking trails and campground are set in a lush forest among scenic rock outcroppings. It's worth the trip
