With SR 77 and US 411 crossing in Rainbow City; its residents gan get almost anywhere.

The Vivian Lee Maddox Sports Complex has fields for both baseball and softball and the city's Youth league plays its games here. Rainbow City has an 18-hole disc golf course at the Sports Complex. This is not a game for just kids; the adults go at it hot and heavy on this course. The annual Alabama Chocolate Festival is held mid April at the Rainbow Plaza parking lot. Although there are Carnival rides, a reasure Hunt, games, food, arts & crafts vendors, and entertainment; the festival is focused on Chocolate, what else? There's a Taste-Off of baked goods, a Chocolate Chuggin’ contest & Egg toss and 6,000 pieces of chocolate are given away. That should bring out the sweets lovers.
