The only major road in town, US 78, passes through the Southern end but provides access to IS 20.

Riverside lies along the banks of the Logan Martin lake (Coosa river). Living in this city affords its residents an opportunity for fishing, boating and other water sports. Each September anglers get a chance to take part in the Annual Fishing Tournament. At the end of the tournament or even if you don't fish, you will be able to enjoy some of the delicious chili at The Riverside International Chili Society Cook Off. In June there is the Annual Big Fish Cobia tournament with music each evening of this two day event and a great Barbaque dinner.
