ABOUT THE AREA
A good hospital, SUNY Oneonta, and a strong business district have made this area a popular place to relocate. It doesn't hurt that the city is located in the hills of a beautiful countryside.
JUDGES
Honorable Lucy Bernier & Hon. Richard McVinney, who is quite thoughtful and pleasant.
PROSECUTORS
Michael Getman, Esq., is the City Prosecutor and local ADA, handling everything from traffic infractions to felonies. He is pretty tough on traffic deals but not unfriendly. Judges can be rough on minor marijuana cases.
TYPE OF CASES
Mostly traffic violations, plenty of criminal, and maybe some college kid troubles.
