The town of North Bergen lies sandwiched between Union City and West New York and has a population of around 58,000 people. The state has zoned 'North Bergen' to be an UEZ (Urban Enterprise Zone) to foster the economic development of the region. Thus, North Bergen has only 3.5% sales tax on items that are sold within the town limits.
