ABOUT THE AREA
Originally known as East Hinsdale, changed its name to Floral Park in 1888, due to the fact that it became a booming town for local seed, bulb and flower businesses and the streets were named after flowers. The village is in both the Town of Hempstead and North Hempstead in Nassau County. It also borders Queens, which has a community named Floral Park as well. Vince Testaverde attended a local school.
