Raymond Circuit Court is the 2nd District Circuit Court of Hinds County and is part of the Seventh District Circuit system of Mississippi.

You might just to wander through town to see many of the buildings still standing which are a part of the history of this town and the area. In the early 1880's a railroad line from Natchez to Jackson was constructed and the city of Raymond was on that line. At the end of the 1880's a depot was built at Raymond so that passengers coming to and departing from the city could use the railroad. For fifty years the depot was a busy place. The Belcher House was built in the middle of the 19th century by an Raymond iron works specialist. The house had a feature that was true of many of the houses built during that time. The kitchen was built as a separate structure to the back of the house to prevent fires from affecting the house.
