The Ice Storm of 2009, took a huge toll on the city, destroying its cultural and historic heritage rampantly. When nature unleashes its power, it becomes merciless. Some of the precious and prized statues of Woolridge’s sisters and the dog had to be restored. Similarly several other statues of historic prominence had to be restored. But the city did not step back and did so with full cooperation from its residents. Even today the ruminants of the Ice Storm can be seen.
