The township of Washington completely surrounds the borough of Washington in Warren County. It has 7 hamlets and districts within the township. Hamlet Brass Castle is a suburb of Washington Borough. The hamlets of Changewater and Port Colden in the town have a few (less than 50) houses bundled together and are largely rural.
