Shelby is known as the true American Saddle bred capital of the entire world. Some of the best American horses hail from here. The famous Daniel Boone actually traveled here to buy these horses. Several historic farms are spotted throughout the country side. Undulata is one of the most famous for breeding the first American Great Stallion. His lineage can be still seen on these farms. Even movies like Sea Biscuit got their horses from here.
