ABOUT THE AREA
Two attractive sites for families to visit in Hattiesburg, especially those with with young kids are the Hattiesburg Zoo and Pep's Point Waterpark and Campground. The zoo is not big and you won't find a large variety of animals here; but there is not a lot of walking, perfect for the tots. The kids will want to take a ride on the train and carousel. At the waterpark there is swimming in the spring fed lake. Or you could try the fast waterslides, canoes and paddleboats. A relaxing activity here is the putt putt golf. If a quick restoration of energy is needed; the full service snack bar awaits you.
