Red Rock Canyon State Park is very similar to Grand Canyon, but the way color plays it up is unmatched. Red Rocks light up the skies literally and when the sun sets, the yellow rays almost shine like gold. It is a golden canyon actually. The ideal time to visit is either at sunrise or sunset. The park has beautiful nature trails and each time you end up in a place you have never been before. When hiking, you will see the wagon wheel marks that were left behind by early settlers and people who went all the way to California.
