ABOUT THE AREA
The roads in Elk Township are thought to follow the path or elks, and hence the name. This small town of 3600 people is largely a farming community. It is home to many farms and orchards such as Cassaday Farms, Licciardello Farms, Moore and Moore Farms etc, all within miles of the Municipal Court. Ewan-Bridgeton Pike Road has many old homes, some of which nearly 300 years old. It is believed that the route was the site of the first settlement in the region. US Route 322 and County Routes 47, 609 and 77 are all nearby.
