ABOUT THE AREA
The Anderson County Museum, the Harris House and the Santa Fe Depot are places to visit in Garnett to get a feel for the history of Anderson county. The museum has displays and exhibitsof early life in the county as well as a host of memorabilia. The Harris House, a Victorian style structure, was built in the late 1880's and 100 years later was refurbished by the Anderson County Historical Society. The Depot was renovated in the 1990's and is used as a resting place for the The Prairie Spirit Rail Trail and as an information center.
