SR 61 cuts through a small piece of the city at the Northwest corner.

The location of Main and Center seems to hold a cluster of historic buildings representing the past of this city. The museum is at the center of all with exhibits of antique farming equipment and most interesting of all are the replicas of the historic Bethel Church a wheelwright shop, a one-room country school, a mercantile shop and a barber shop. In addition this site of historic cluster includes a wooden 1906 telephone office, a restored 1957 Rock Island caboose and fully equipped Rock Island depot circa 1887. Built in the early 1890's the historic red mill still stands south of the abandoned grain elevators on West Gordon.
