The original plan for Mission Hills was for it to be America’s premier garden community. The Wooded hills, winding streams and pleasant valleys provided a perfect setting for this plan. Now there are three golf courses forming a green belt surrounding the homes and as well as gardens throughout the community. Everywhere you go in this community there are fountains, statues, sculptures and urns decorating the traffic islands or adorning the roadsides. Some of these pieces are hundreds of years old and many are imported from abroad. Informality is the word here and you will see it in evidence at summer barbecues and community events, like the annual Street Fair or the Verona Columns Concert.
