There is no village traffic court. Village has a "Traffic Violations Bureau". Looks like an inappropriate name, as this is not listed in NY DMV website as part of the State DMV Traffic Violations Bureau. We checked with the village it is for parking tickets. There is a <a href="http://www.town-court.com/
getTownCourt.php?courtID=122">New Paltz Town Court</a>, which handles traffic and criminal matters.
ABOUT THE AREA
The village is best known nationally for its mayor, Jason West, who performed gay marriages. Quite an interesting legal issue, but most villagers would probably prefer to be known for something else, such as being the home of SUNY New Paltz.
