ABOUT THE AREA
The tiny town of South Harrison is largely rural with agriculture and clay-mining as the two major occupations. The close-by township of Harrison has some industries and caters to the needs of residents of South Harrison. South Jersey Hospital is in Mullica Hill, very close to the Municipal Court. There is a dam near Oldmans Creek that forms the Harrisonville Lake. Harrisonville lake waters are used in generating hydro-electricity. US Rt 322 and County Routes 77 and 45 traverse this township.
