ABOUT THE AREA
This a nice small town of just over 400 residents where the Girls Scouts host a Chili supper, the Volunteer fire department holds a pancake supper and there is a citywide rummage sale. This all began with the opening of a general store in a small, cramped shanty around 1876. The residents here enjoy a moderately good median household income which has risen significantly from 2000.
