You will find US 24 running through the upper third of Colby and it meets SR 25 in the Western third of the city.

If you want to get a sense of history of the area visit the Prairie Museum of Art and History. Here you can see exhibits displayng Kuska Collection of dolls, furniture, clothing, quilts, toys, glass, ceramics, silver, souvenirs, household items, tools, musical instruments, coins, clocks, stamps, guns, minerals, and art. Examples of early prairie life can be seen in the sod house, a one-room school, a country church and a 1930's farmstead. the Cooper Barn, which was originally the Foster Farm Barn, took a one way trip to the museum site from 16 miles away. Colby has five city parks; Ferguson Park, Villa High Park, Buffalo Park, Young Memorial Park and Fike Park which together cover over 180 acres.
