ABOUT THE AREA
Kings Point is a village on the Great Neck Peninsula on Long Island's north shore. It is located about 13 miles ne of NYC. The United States Merchant Marine Academy is located in Kings Point, which purchased the estate from auto baron Walter P Chrysler. His 35 room marble mansion became the USMMA's Administration Hall. Kings Point was portrayed as "West Egg" in F.Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby".
