ABOUT THE AREA
Maize residents get an opportunity to buy each others junk otherwise known as handy items and art at the city's annual City Wide Garage Sale Day each April. You will finally get to see what the people have been storing in their atticcs, garages and basements. Tree planting is the main feature of the annual Maize Arbor Day. At this event information is provided regarding the care of trees and other plant life. Then there is the fun of the annual Fall Festival in October. At this event there is a parade, arts & crafts, games, car bash, food booths and the carnival rides. There is also a car show and live entertainment.
