Manhattan is served by several major roads: SR 13, SR 18, SR 113, SR 177 and US 24.

This is a large city and home to Kansas State universdity. Sunset zoo in this city is a wonderful place to visit and bring the kids. Its over 250 animals include Amphibians, Birds, Fish, Invertebrates, Mammals and Reptiles. The city's park system has 15 parks and the zoo. There is an ice rink in City park and the city's swimming pool has racing lanes and a wave pool. adjacent to CiCo Parkis the city's skate park with approximately 9000 square feet of skating/biking area, including a variety of rails, ramps, pipes, platforms, a pyramid and a beginner’s area. The city adds over 250 trees to its right of ways each year to beautify the areas and maintain a level of forestry in the streets.
