The network of highways serving Garden city are US 50 BR, US 83, US 83 BR, US 400 and SR 156.

Hundreds of native and exotic animals are resident at the Lee Richardson Zoo, replete with beautifully landscaped acres, spacious animal exhibits, walking paths, a playground, picnic areas, and shady avenues. For a small fee you can drive through the zoo. At the entrance to the zoo you will find the Finney County Museum. On the museum grounds there is the Pleasant Valley One-Room Schoolhouse circa 1890, and the Fulton House. The zoo and the museum are located in Finnup park which is also the site of the World's Largest Concrete Municipal swimming pool. This pool is about a city block in size and holds 2.5 million gallons of water.
