US 56 runs South through the center of Hugoton until it meets SR 51, which runs through the lower half of town, where it turns to the West.
ABOUT THE AREA
The city of Hugoton has three parks for the enjoyment of its residents. City Park the largest of the three has facilities for picnics and barbecues, public restrooms and a large playground area. Everett Rowden Park has a picnic shelter with barbecue grills and open room for a game of Frisbee or tag. There is also playground equipment here, a basketball court and the old-fashioned merry-go-round. Smith Pioneer Park's main feature is a central gazebo and sitting benches for just the enjoyment of nature.
