One of the most amazing buildings in the world, Prabhupada's Palace of Gold, is located in Moundville. The building features are stained glass windows through which filtered rays of sunlight play on the many crystal chandeliers and mirrored ceilings; intricate marble floors and highly polished marble inlaid walls which contain over fifty-two varieties of marble and onyx from Europe, Asia and Africa and hand carved teakwood furniture from India. Flower gardens and waterways with more than one hundred ornate fountains surround the building looked upon by four royal peacock windows containing more than 1,500 pieces of handshaped and stained glass at the front and the back of the Palace. The palace was built by the followers of Srila Prabhupada, founder of the International Society for Krishna Consiousness more commonly called the Hare Krishna movement, to honor him. ,

US 250 and SR 2 both run through Moundsville and join together in the Northeast corner of town.
