Oddly, Gloucester City is a City in Camden County and not in Gloucester County. It borders Gloucester County. The city houses nearly 11500 people and is quite close to the NJ state border. Walt Whitman bridge spans Delaware river and connects Gloucester City and Philadelphia. I-76 runs over this bridge. US Rt 130 passes through the city and I-676 is nearby too. The city is an UEZ (Urban Enterprise Zone). Gloucester City Historical Society located on North King Street is worth visiting. The nearest park is Camden County Park, about a mile away from the Courthouse. The city has some good places to shop and dine.
