ABOUT THE AREA
The Fayette Theater, which is located in the Historic District of Fayetteville, has been restored by the Fayette County Historical Society and is the scene of live musical and dramatic presentations. The theater is located in a movie house built in the 1930's and its walls are decorated with paintings and pieces of art that depict life and entertainment from the 1930’s era. The historic district consists of the the downtown area of Fayetteville and you might want to catch a tour to see some of the historic homes in the district.
