ABOUT THE AREA
If you like Strawberry shortcake or even Strawberries with cream come to the Mineral County Strawberry Festival held each June in Keyser. The festival features a strawberry pie eating contest, diving events, live musical entertainment by several different groups and as hard as it is to believe for a Strawberry festival, a pet show. There is also a Fiddle and Banjo contest which is sure to bring out the hootin and hollerin in the spectators.
