US 19 is the Main street of Jane Lew.

Jane Lew was named in honor of the mother of a member of Congress from Virginia who purchased the farm, which occupied the area, and divided it into lots establishing the town around 1835. The annual Jane Lew Firemen's Arts & Crafts festival is held at the end of August at the firehouse. Over 200 crafters show there works at this festival which include glass, wood, leather, dolls dried & silk flowers, baskets, ceramics, soaps, candles, painting, candy, honey and jams & jellies. They have not forgotten the hungry people at this event; the food vendors are here.
