Union Magistrate is the Magistrate court of Monroe county. US 219 runs through Union and meets SR 3 in the center of town.
ABOUT THE AREA
Union was settled around 1774 and and chartered 25 years later. It derived its name from the area being used as an assembly point for troops during the Indian wars. The bandstand next to the Monroe County courthouse is the scene of summer concerts free to the public.
