Two conservation areas near Platte city are ideal places for enjoying the outdoors. Platte Falls conservation area just to the Northeast of the city is about 2400 acres in size. There are boat ramps on the Platte River, an archery range, shotgun range and areas for hiking, hunting, fishing or just wildlife viewing here. Guy B. Park conservation area is about 380 acres in size and has a fishing lake and plenty of room for hiking, hunting, fishing o and wildlife viewing
