US 169 runs along the Western border of North Kansas City next to the Missouri river, US 71, IS 29 and IS 35 run together through the Eastern part of town and SR 9 runs through town and intersects wit SR 210 and 283.
ABOUT THE AREA
The North Kansas City community center has plenty of things to do in it. It has a large gym with basketball courts and a rock climbing wall. There is also a swimming pool and a fitness room. Classes are held in such fitness programs as Yoga and Tai-Chi. The city has two nice parks. Macken park covering close to 60 acres has large park shelters, baseball/softball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, racquetball courts, an asphalt walking trail, a mile roller-blading trail and playgrounds. Dagg park is intended for family gatherings and passive activities with its wading pool, playground, fountains with bench seating areas and picnic shelters.
