The city has two professional teams; the Kansas City Chiefs in the Western division of the American Football Conference of the National Football League who play their games at Arrowhead stadium and the Kansas City Royals in the Central division of the American League who play in Kauffman stadium. The Crossroads Music Fest takes place in September with over 20 bands, including local favorites, who play in Kansas City's cultural heart, the Crossroads corridor in September. The Crossroads Ballet Festival features the greatest professional dancers in classical ballet performances at the Missouri University's Spencer Theater for two days in July.
