IS 270 runs right through the city and IS 70 passes through the bottom part of Bridgeton.

The city sits right alongside the end of one of the runways of the Lambert-St. Luis International airport. It has a wonderful recreational program with ten parks covering more than 250 acres as well two other facilities. The Bridgeton Community Center is home to an indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, game room, snack area, weight and cardio room, racquetball courts and meeting rooms. At the Bridgeton Municipal Athletic complex you will find fields for softball, baseball and soccer, tennis, racquetball, handball courts in addition to which there is an area for sledding. One of the parks is the Bridgeton Crossing Family Aquatic park which has a competition pool, activity pool, activity channel, water playground, spray pad, diving boards and slides. The 19th-century Payne-Gentry House, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and and in it you are still able to see many of the actual Payne family possessions.
