ABOUT THE AREA
The Sappington Complex includes the Thomas Sappington Museum, housed in the home which was built by slave labor around 1808 and is on the National Register of Historic Places, the Sappington Barn restaurant and the Library of Americana which is a research library wherein you can find resources on American History and Decorative Arts. At the Southeast corner of Crestwood you will find Grant's Farm which is the ancestral home of the Busch family covering more than 280 acres. It was named for Ulysses S. Grant who founded and farmed a portion of the area in the 1850's. The over 900 animals on the farm are representative of more than 100 different species.
