IS 70 runs through the Northern part of Edmundson.

Edmundson lies just below St. Louis Lambert International airport. In the early 1940's sub-division named Edmundson Terrace was opened to the public for sale. In the latter part of the 1940's the subdivision was incorporated as a Village and its name was changed to the Village of Edmundson. In the early 1990's, the residents of the village voted to declare the Village of Edmundson as a fourth class city and shortly after the start of 1993 the Village of Edmundson became the City of Edmundson. Edmundson Park has a walking track, exercise stations, playground equipment, picnic areas two of which are two of which are covered and restroom facilities. The city holds its annual June Jam, when else but in June at Edmundson Park. There are vendors, a beer garden, bounce house, Duck pond, dunking booth, corn hole and washers and you can be sure the Edmundson Senior Citizen group will be there to sell Ted Drew's frozen custard. So bring your lawn chairs and blankets and have a good time.
