SR 100 (Manchester road) runs through Rock Hill.

The area of Rock Hill, first lived on by French pioneers, was defined by early French and Spanish grants. By the 1930's it was an established business and residential community. In the early 1940's it was incorporated as a fourth class city. The city has seven parks. They are Greenwood, Oak Trail Park, Oakhaven Park, Rock Hill Park, Hensley Park, Whitfield Park and Stroup Field. The city celebrates its annual Fall festival early in October opening with a parade. The festival features a culinary event, "A Taste of Rock Hill " giving attendees the opportunity to taste foods prepared by local restaurants at an open food court. The festival also has live performances by local jazz, blues, and rock and roll groups, classic car competition, community and business booths and lots of activities for children and adults. Trophies are awarded to the winners in the different classes at the car show. -
