IS 64, IS 270, US 40 and US 61 meet and go through Town and Country.

The city was incorporated as a village around 1950 when there were almost 1,000 residents but now operates as a Fourth Class city under Missouri statutes. The city maintains three city parks; Drace, Longview Farm and Preservation each of which has paved and unpaved trails, picnic pavilions and playgrounds. In addition Drace park has two cabins with gardens; Longview Farms park has the Longview Farm house, horse stables, a tennis court and a lake with a fountain and catch and release fishing privileges and Preservation Park has tennis courts four of which are illuminated, a sand volleyball court, baseball field, football practice field and soccer and Lacrosse fields. Longview Farm Park is what's leftover from a farm that once covered over 350 acres which was purchased from the United States government by the son of a pioneer settler.
