SR 100 AN SR 109 pass through Wildwood and IS 44 and US 50 brush the Southwest portion of the town.

Led by some of the residents of the community and approved by the Missouri Supreme Court the residents voted to incorporate Wildwood in the fall of 1995. There are approximately 35,000 people living in an area of about 66 square miles that is the city. The city is fortunate to have Babler State Park, Rockwoods Reservation and Range and Greensfelder County Park, which are owned by the State of Missouri and St. Louis County, within its boundaries. The city also is rife with creeks having 9 within its borders. The annual Holiday Balloon Glow, sponsored by the Wildwood Business Association and benefiting the YMCA Strong Community Campaign, is held in early December. Come along and ride in a horse-drawn carriage or warm up with sweet treats and hot cocoa.
