US 54 Business Bypass, SR 52 and SR 87 all run through Eldon and US 54 just nicks an Eastern outcropping of the town.

There are several venues for recreation in this town. It has four parks with facilities such as baseball fields, soccer fields, a tennis court, a skateboard park, basketball goals, sand volleyball, picnic areas and pavilions. The aquatic center has features including zero entry, swim lanes, slides, dump buckets, floatables, diving board and water basketball. At the community center you can engage in co-ed volley ball, old-timer’s basketball, yoga classes, open gym nights and dance classes. There is also a Disc Golf Field at the Eldon Airpark. Some where in Eldon you will find the Red and Yellow caboose brought to the city as a memento of its ties to the railroads. One side of the caboose has the Rock Island logo and the other the Missouri Pacific logo.
